The Beginning Of The End

"Your lucky I don't pop one into ya now white boy. Get the fuck out of here." This was one of the most scariest moments of my life as Yanick and I trolled the back alley of downtown. Putting forth our brainy idea of trading of a couple of dime bags for a a few rocks. We got robbed, then got told some great advice, to 'get the fuck out of there'. We wasted no time. Immediately my high was dissipating quicker than I could think. A crack cocaine high off a hit only last approximately 30-40 seconds. Depending on the shit you got. If you could smoke binge all night for a few hours then your pretty much stung out for the rest of the night anyhow. What were we thinking? What was I thinking? Did we even really think it out? You don't go patrolling the back alleys of one of the worst crime ridden city's where gun play is all too familiar at 4:00am in the morning strung out on rock looking for a crack dealer. Your only asking to be shot, or better, arrested. Luckily, neither happened to us that night.

Welcome to my blog. Coda is my code name. Coda also stands for, Confessions Of a Drug Addict. I am a drug addict. Although I no longer abuse drugs, I will be addicted for the rest of my life with a disease that took much away from me. Friends, family an education....and my innocence. I don't blame the drugs. They were only there to comfort me when I needed them most. I put most of my blame on myself, and my father who really wasn't a father or a father figure, but more like the Gestapo out of the SS regime. Everything was done his way, without the saluting.

My old man was strict. He meant business, and he knew it. Back talk him? Your looking at the swift backside of his paws boy. I will do him the favour of with holding his name. Just as mine is being with held and everyone else in my blogs. Dates, names of places are also not correct. I am doing this as to keep my identity to myself. It is of no importance to you who I am. When your an addict, your just another statistic. My story is real to every word. I have heard of the book written by James Frey. I am not here to exaggerate my life to get you to buy anything. My story is free. It is here for you to read and take it as you want. If you are a former addict yourself, then you will be able to relate to the message, terminology and goals I have put in my blogging. If you are unaware of an addict's life, then hang on for the ride. It will be dirty, very low at times, and dark and abusive.

Crack cocaine. In my mind this is one of the top three drugs that will completely and utterly destroy lives in a very short period of time next to Meth or Heroin. Crack will suck you in on your first hit. Don't let someone ever tell you they took one hit (a toke) then got off it. Bullshit they did. On a good night, a good run, you could sell your own mother for half an 8 ball easily.
